Why? Consider that we have games that allow us to simulate blowing someone's head off with a sniper scope weapon from 500 meters; rape simulation is just another game experience. Er... Right? Else, its a bit of the pot calling the kettle black, eh? IMHO, both desensitize their audience to certain objectionable acts in the name money making "entertainment" for the masses. All we need now is a game that simulates a corrupt broker, as he goes about ripping off multiple banks and other assorted financial institutions, that destroys the worth and way of life of a nation, and ultimately destabilizes the world economy... Now THAT would be a real gaming experience to drool about... Yeah, I know. To each his man his own vice... or amusement if you prefer. LOL...
lol you make a point, games like gears of war allows you to cut people into pieces... but this once again falls into the norm that explicit depictions of violence is acceptable while anything related to sex exploitation is a automatic no no. just look at movies lol, shit with full of gore can probably pass as r-rated while shit with even full frontal nudity without explicit sex can be rated nc-17.

A rape game How low can you get? Looks like the Japanese game industry has totally lost it's direction. This genre is really disturbing since unlike FPS games where you need firearms to do the act, here you can go out on the streets and just do it. For people who has no sense of reality and fiction, this will be very dangerous. Good thing that this game is banned.
