You know, when you do something so lame, sometimes one really has to ask one's self if something serious is happening. Today I was upgrading the SD cards on the new S3's that I got my kids, and on my Galaxy Note. Of course, my son installed his micro SD, and had it mounted, formatted and working in about 60 seconds. I dutifully followed all the instructions, and voila. The phone appeared dead. Dammit. I opened the back again, took the micro sim back out, reinserted the thing, popping it in and then releasing it several times. No resistance, no hassle; sprang out and clicked back in like every video I'd ever seen detailing this procedure. OK. closed the lid, making sure that every clip on the back panel clicked and scrupulously inspected the edges to ensure that it was perfectly flat and in line with the body of the phone. Still nothing. Plugging it in to my computer, I get the battery charge symbol and it seemed to be charging, but still nothing. I was so frustrated that I was about to bring the thing down to the TMobile store where I'd got it to ask for an exchange, when my son offered, "Dad, er... did you forget to turn the phone back on?" I stared at him blankly for a few seconds, and then realized that I'd briefly removed the battery to insert the card, and as such, should have known to restart the phone. He just smiled and walked away. Like Da-uh... I am so seriously getting old... :tear:
Hey no sweat. I would probably have done the same mistake. I've had a few devices where if you just plug the device in or put in the battery, it automatically starts up on its own.
