Two nights ago, Andy Hui (許志安) attended an autograph session for his new EP and novel, Learn to Love <學愛>, which he co-wrote with novelist and screenwriter, Chan Wai (陳慧). The book was promoted at the book fair held at the Hong Kong Exhibition and Convention Centre. Over a hundred fans showed up at the session, and some fans even bought ten copies at once! Andy Hui Wants to Be an Author Andy said that he originally planned to walk around the book fair after the session was done, but then decided against it due to the huge crowd. He laughed, “I’m afraid that the book fair officials would not let me in anymore!” Andy also revealed that he used to anonymously write columns for a newspaper once a week, but stopped doing it half a year ago. Interested in continuing with his writing, Andy expressed that he has plans to release his own book next year. Rumored to get married with Sammi Cheng (鄭秀文) in August, would Andy have time to prepare for his new book? Andy sighed, “I already told everyone that it is a rumor! I don’t want to talk about it anymore.” Andy disclosed that his manager introduced him to Chan Wai. After reading Chan Wai’s My Diary <拾香紀>, Andy discovered that he and Chan Wai actually share similar family backgrounds. Andy reached out to Chan Wai for a collaboration project; Andy will be in charge of the music content, while Chan Wai will be in charge of the novel. Andy hopes that readers will be able to understand what it means to cherish love after listening and reading Learn to Love. Andy Hui Denies Marriage Rumors Again Asked if Andy is interested in co-writing a book with Sammi, Andy said, “No thank you! If we collaborate, the book will become one big mess! When I write, there’s no need for me to ask Sammi for advice. She has her ways of writing and I have my own. I write because I enjoy it, not for money!” When reporters continued to press questions regarding his marriage, Andy changed the topic and said, “I’ve learned what it means to cherish love!
