Yesterday, Andy Lau (劉德華) made an appearance at an event for the Hong Kong Paralympic Committee and Sports Association for the Physically Disabled. The actor-singer, who turns 55 on September 27, shared that he will be celebrating his birthday at home with his family. Due to his busy schedule, Andy will have no time to bake a cake for himself. He also shared that his family’s domestic worker will be retiring, as she needs to return home to prepare for a family marriage. Andy said, “My daughter will miss her a lot. She’s been helping our family for over ten years, and she helped raised [Hanna].” Asking if four-year-old Hanna has prepared a birthday gift for him, Andy laughed and said, “What does she have to give me? If anything, I am the one who is buying the gift.” (Maybe she’ll draw you a birthday card?) “It’s still going to be me holding her hand to help her draw the card.” In regards to his planned concert tour, Andy shared, “I’m guessing that it’ll be around the New Year’s.
