Tuesday April 10, 2007 Hong Kong The 46 year-old Andy Lau Tak Wah appears to be only in his 30's, while the 43 year-old Maggie Cheung Man Yuk still has youthful skin in her latest skincare commercial. A mainland actress alleged that Andy, Maggie, Michelle Reis Lee Ka Yan and Rosamund Kwan Chi Lam have been receiving injections of goat placental tissue in Switzerland to prevent their looks from aging! The mainland actress claimed in her blog that Andy, Maggie, Michelle, & Rosamund were all frequent customers of goat placenta injections. Each injection of goat placental tissue will make one appear to be 5 years younger, while continuous treatment may make one 10 years younger! $580,000 (Yuan) Per Injection Apparently each injection of goat placental tissue cost $100,000 (Yuan) and upwards, with the most expensive brands costing as much as $580,000 (Yuan). The blog claimed that it was impossible for artists such as Andy Lau to not receive these type of injections, as a person in his 40's will be able to turn back time by as much as 10-20 years post-treatment. Andy's representative, Ms. Tam responded to allegations that he received goat placenta injections, "I don't understand where such rumors cropped from. Our company may follow-up on such allegations with legal action." Ms. Tam insisted that Andy was normally quite lazy with his skincare routine, rarely receiving mask treatments. His assistants often have to remind him to follow a proper skincare routine. Regarding Andy's secret in maintaining his youth, Ms. Tam said, "We have to ask Andy's mother, Mrs. Lau! His youthful looks were naturally inherited. Andy never received goat placenta injections in the past nor does he plan to do so in the future." credits: mingpao, asianfanatics.
^ -lol yeah..dang...but that sounds really bleckk...goat placenta?? isn't that like in your tummy or something? -sick2
Placenta is the stuff that falls out of your va-jay-jay when you give birth. So they inject this stuff into their face? And DAAAAMN Andy Lau is fine for a 46 year old!
I am surprised that this constitute "news", it's been rumoured that Michelle Reis and Andy Lau get those placenta injections since FOREVER. Why else do you think they look younger instead of older by the year? While Western celebrities get hooked on Botox (see Nicole Kidman), Asian celebrities get hooked on goat placenta injections. ^BTW, Botox is quite organic -- virus beings.
wtf is this.... how can a placenta cost 100,000 yuan? just go out, get some goats, let them hump each other, and in a month u'v got a perfectly usable placenta. F*ck, i'l inject that shit in you for 5 grand, no problem.
It's not that easy... you've got to extract the active components and some such... Otherwise you'll have TONS of toxins going into the system.
For some reason, I don't think this is true...maybe botox, yes. Actually, I think Andy and Michelle pretty much look their age...they don't look that young. In picture ads, they always look younger because of brushing and editing.
The thing is that they don't have the obvious post-botox bruises and lack of facial expression. Unlike Hollywood, HK stars cannot be off the media for more than a day -- so that's how I rule out botox. Plus, I've heard the whole goat placenta injections thing for 10 years+, I doubt that Botox was commercially used as cosmetic operation back then...
honestly what is wrong having some injection too look young... anyway IF andy alu do this it will be for the FANS... the younger he look the longer he will work in the film industry and music industry
Perhaps it's just me having issues with someone looking like 30 when they are closer to 50 than 40...
