Tuesday, August 08, 2006 Hong Kong Hong Kong star Andy Lau's latest highly anticipated Cantopop album "Voice" is released Tuesday, Shanghai Morning Post reports. The new album has 11 songs, including the theme song of the popular movie "Crazy Stone." The only song in Mandarin is "Darling," which has brought in millions of yuan after being launched by mobile phone in July. The report says Lau and Lin Xi, a famous Hong Kong lyricist, decided on "Voice" as the new album's title after three months of discussion. The decision was made based on the belief that there are more unique and sad voices in the world, with the beautiful ones fading away. Although the theme is serious, the musical style is light and expressive, consisting mainly of rock and R&B. Lau will hold a press conference to promote his new album in Guangzhou on September 1. The veteran singer pocketed five trophies at a music awards ceremony held by Metro Radio Hong Kong last week. credits: crienglish, asianfanatics.
