For years, Angelababy (楊穎) has been dogged by rumors that she underwent plastic surgery in order to attain her current facial features. She recently had her face examined by a well-known plastic surgeon in order to prove that she has never gone under the knife. Angelababy visited a plastic surgery hospital in west Beijing on October 15. There, hospital chief Qi Zuoliang (祁佐良), who is also a renowned plastic surgeon, took X-ray photos of her face and conducted further examinations of her facial features, including her forehead, nose, eyelids, mouth, cheeks, and the corners of her eyes. During the inspection, Angelababy did not wear any makeup. Following the examination, Qi confirmed that Angelababy’s face was natural and had no trace of surgical incisions. He added that although she did have braces when she was younger, this is considered a normal form of teeth-straightening and should not be categorized as plastic surgery. The surgeon also spoke up about Angelababy’s double eyelids: “Double eyelids that are achieved through plastic surgery usually have two very obvious layers. Baby is unlike most other people; she naturally has several layers.” Years of Plastic Surgery Rumors Angelababy’s decision to have her face examined is the result of an essay posted by a mainland Chinese beauty clinic called Ruili in 2012. The essay, which is titled “Angelababy’s Plastic Surgery Failed, and Netizens Say Her Chin is Extremely Unnatural,” also contained photos of the actress before her alleged surgery. In response, Angelababy filed a complaint against them for defamation and violation of her portrait rights. Although a Beijing court ruled in her favor in May of this year, Ruili refused to provide compensation and filed for an appeal. As a result, the court suggested that Angelababy undergo a facial examination. Angelababy has been fighting plastic surgery rumors as early as July 2010, when a weekly publication claimed that she had been continually going under the knife for the past seven years. At the time, Angelababy had already considered finding a doctor to examine her face, but none of the doctors in Hong Kong were willing to do so. Thus, she followed Fan Bingbing’s (范冰冰) example and looked for a hospital in mainland China. “It’s very exhausting bearing this pressure,” said Angelababy, who has previously stated that her unique looks come from her quarter-German ancestry. “I don’t want to be attacked by magazines or netizens anymore. If it’s true that I underwent plastic surgery, I will admit it, but I did not do it.” Angelababy’s husband, Huang Xiaoming (黃曉明), has expressed his support of her: “Everyone says she’s gotten plastic surgery, but that’s because nobody has seen what she usually looks like. Wonder how true that story is that she tried finding an HK doctor to do the examine....although a mainland doctor eh, like I said in another thread, not credible.
Lawsuit going on; I'm sure the defense will verify all the reports. At the very least, the beauty clinic will prove their claims! If they can't nor fight the lawsuit, then there's probably some truth in it

China doctors aren't real, and most of them are terrible plastic surgeons anyways. Come on, would you trust a mainland China doctor? Wtf is the point posting pics of her when she was a teen with braces. You should know that people look different with and w/o braces look very different.
Not making any sense unless you don't trust your eyes. If you want to believe what someone says then so be it. But if you distrust your own, then you have issues. Trying to come out now that she didn't do surgery is like saying Taeyon and Jessica and Hyuna from SNSD and 4MINUTE didn't do surgery. Yes she's done it. Sheesh.

I'm not saying whether I believe her or not. I'm just posting the news; and suggesting if she has in fact gone under the knife, this lawsuit will expose it. The company that advertised her as getting the "modifications" in their clinic will defend the suit. It's up to the lawyers now ... any HIPAA rules in China? Defamation lawsuit - she didn't go under the knife and the clinic claimed she did. OR Privacy lawsuit - she did go under the knife, but, the clinic make claims without paying her / her permissions.
Anyone can be pretty with plastic surgery, and that's what her fans are saying as well as her husband. The thing that bothers some is that she continually denies it, and she continues to play innocent. That bothers a lot of people. She's not the only celebrity to go under the knife, yet she's the target in this alleged campaign? People who don't understand propaganda will continually accept what's fed to them. Her jawline is obviously different. More so, her braces are to correct her teeth, not her jawline. Her eyes are so obvious as well. People think she 'grew' out of her teenage/braces appearance. Come on now. Go look at your year book. The doctors are only testing specific samples.
Take a look at her jawline when she smiles. As she does so, the exertion of forces on her skin to the underpinning of her issues beneath reveals uneven stresses, where the top part of her skin is pulled down also unevenly.
