Angelababy and her husband Huang Xiaoming (黃曉明) received worldwide attention for their 200 million RMB “wedding of the century” back in May 2015. The extravagant ceremony was not without its criticism, but that didn’t stop the couple from giving their money a purpose. According to the 2016 Huron Charity Chart, which lists the 100 most charitable individuals in Mainland China, Angelababy and her husband made it into the list at number 87. At 27 years old, Angelababy is the youngest person to enter the chart. Angelababy and Xiaoming donated approximately 16.85 million RMB in the past year. Angelababy and Huang Xiaoming are extremely active philanthropists and have been working with various charities over the last few years. After their wedding in 2015, Xiaoming established the “Guanai Baobei” charity organization, under Angelababy’s name, and donated most of the funds to 527 deaf children in China. In late 2015, they went to Qingdao, Xiaoming’s hometown, and helped the young and elderly. This past February, Angelababy and Xiaoming donated approximately 1 million RMB to assist with the post-earthquake relief after 2016 Tainan earthquake. Creds: Sina
I really wonder how much of the $ actually goes to help those less fortunate in China, or if it's just getting "washed" and goes to so called overhead. Here's more info on it too. http://www.shanghaidaily.com/nation...list-of-mainlands-most-generous/shdaily.shtml Interesting that the top people on the list are donating to their schools...
They make a lot of money as celebrities in China these days...everyone wants to make that Chinese RMB rain...
Nope. Giving money is for PR purposes and their wedding definitely deserves the scrutiny. The fallacy won't last long.
