In the 8 years since Canto-pop Queen Anita Mui passed away, her family members have continued to pursue legal action in the courts with the hope of gaining control of her assets. Several days ago, Anita’s mother Mrs. Mui (Tam Mei Kam) and older brother Mui Kai Ming once again filed papers in court, this time charging that Anita’s god-mother Fu Sui Na [TN: widow of entertainment mogul Leonard Ho, one of the founders of HK production company Golden Harvest], chairwoman of Anita’s official fan club Miss So, and Anita’s former chauffeur Yu Tin Lok allegedly ‘stole’ valuable possessions from Anita’s Shouson Peak home after her death. The mother and son are suing the trio, requesting 180 million HKD in compensation for the alleged offense. In court papers, Mrs Mui and son referred to Fu Sui Na as Anita’s “so-called god-mother” and accused her as well as Miss So and Mr Yu of going to Anita’s home the week after she died (the week of December 31st, 2003) and moving Anita’s possessions out of the home with the intention of securing those possessions as their own. Earlier, during the court proceedings for the inheritance case, Mrs. Mui discovered that the safe in Anita’s home was emptied out and all of the valuables inside – including jewelry, watches, money, antiques, and important documents – had been ‘stolen’. Therefore, Mrs. Mui and her son are suing Ms Fu ($100 million), Miss So ($30 million), and Mr Yu ($50 million) for a total of $180 million in compensation unless they are able to return the allegedly ‘stolen’ valuables. The couple (Mr Ho and Ms Fu) and Anita went through the traditional godparents / god-daughter ceremony back in the 80s -- this is a well-known fact within the HK entertainment industry. Therefore, as far as I'm concerned, Mrs Mui's claim that Fu Sui Na is only Anita's 'so-called' godmother is personal bias on her part and should not be taken as 'fact'. from what i heard back in 03 04, after she died, Anita's mom treated her and her sister like money trees. I assume, she is just greedy and stupid, courts should not take thsi seriously
OMG...Anita's already gone for 8 years, can't they let her RIP!!! Honestly, how many more years can the mum live for, she's so old now, should enjoy life and not be so concerned about the money side of things. Whether or not is true others took Anita's money, I believe in Karma - they sinners will be punished. If not themselves, your next generation will suffer they bad deeds.
