    i dont seem to be having that problem and my AU is always on, hopefully it aint gonna happen either o_O

    No, I'm not running a hacked version of XP - I actually bought it. lol :D
    No, my regional settings is set to Canada.
    Other people I know (also in Canada) have also had the same problem.
    Turning off automatic updates? .... hmm, I'm not so sure about that...

    I don't even know exactly what the update's for, it downloads alright, but whenever it tries to install, it Fails. So that little icony thing is stuck there, always telling me to update...

    go into ur ms update setting and set it so that u can select which updates u want to install....meantime i'll see what i can find on this update issue..

    I always recommend disabling auto updates. But always always create a roll back before this update. looking add/remove programs in control panel, theres a button to see hotfixes, just uninstall it
