Hi! Is there any free but good anti-viruses or anti-spyware for Windows XP please? Because the last one I found was a spyware.. leaving me to reformat the whole computer. Thanks.
^yep ad-aware is great and its free too (personal edition) anti-virus i have AVG anti virus, also free, and its great too
Go to http://www.spybot.info/ to get the spybot with language of your choice. It is free. spybot also has updates periodically. Be careful of downloading spam removal software. Some of them are actually spam disguise as free software.
I use AVG for Anti-Virus and Spybot/Ad-aware for anti spyware. Just go to sites like download.com to check whether the anti-virus/spyware are good or not.

there is a lot just search around Antivir is also free. for antispyware superantispyware is free too if i'm not wrong. Just get a good firewall, it should help u to prevent from getting virus and spyware.
