Any good ancient Films/movies??

    There hasnt been much ancient films or movies lately so can anyone recommend any good ones???

    Andy Lau - Shaolin. Although I haven't seen it yet, looks pretty good

    if you want ancient movies you gotta go with classics though.. Shaw Bros!

    There hasn't been ancient films or movies? I think what you mean to say is, that there hasn't been any new Period Dramas. I know Popular Asians has always listed them oddly (IMHO incorrectly), referring to them as modern or ancient. However, the correct terminology (by traditional movie discourse convention) is to refer to them as Contemporary (today's settings) vs Period (historical settings). When one talks about ancient film, one usually thinks silents or old classics.
