How about some of Mika Nakashima's songs? If you like something more mellow... I'd recommend Oborozukiyoinori.
stacks.. some ai otsuka songs are good some ayu songs if you don't mind her voice - i really like real me boa songs ? haha some are pretty good i reckon koda kumi has awesome songs hmm.. theres stacks of gd ones i don't like Mika Nakashiima.. her voice is rather odd O_O to me ~~ no offense !
I think mihimaru GT's recent single, Magical Speaker and itsumademo hibiku kono melody, is very good. Shimatani Hitomi's destiny ~Taiyou no Hana~ sounds great too.

there's a lot... usually people recommend songs on different forums and stuff browse around but i guess it really depends what kind of music you like.. i do agree koda kumi (hit song on her newest album) heartsdales (just their "hey dj" and "heartsdales") otsuka ai Arashi (SO GOOD.. any of their songs are fantastic) KATTUN (get their 1st album) NewS (if you like really boy-bandy-ish stuff) Kinki kids (their old songs) Melody ("realize" -- theme song for dragonzakura -- should watch the dorama too!) Namie Amuro (if you like dance music) Nana Kitade ("kiss or kiss" -- theme song for anego) SMAP (their old songs) Takki & Tsubasa ("yume monogatari" and "venus") W-inds Yuna Ito Reira Angela Aki (first album) ...etc. just d/l random things.. if you see something like "top 30 oricon chart" usually those songs are good =]
I think Ai Otsuka's "Planetarium" (yeah to hyd!!!) and Ayumi Hamasaki's "Moments" is great to the ear! Namie Amuro, I lurved her so much! But couldn't keep up with every of my favourite stars, so I easied on catching up on her quite alot. "I will", "Never End", "Say the Word", "Wishing on the same star"... "Think of Me", and some of her new catchy tunes...
tamaki nami is awesome...her songs for the gundam series were great also try umm....planatarium by ostuka ai endless story by reira starring yuna ito sea of love by tsubaki just a few...u can also check..www.oricon.jp to see wat is hot in japan...
