Has anybody owned or is using a Nokia N80ie (ie = Internet Edition)? I'm thinking about getting an unlocked GSM that emphasizes camera (3+ MP) and good display quality (resolution and stuff)... any thoughts on the N80ie or other suggestions?
too thick. would be really inconvenient in your pockets. go for the newer nokia n81 or the 6500 slider.
but N81 is really expensive... (unless you go for the "sui for" from HK) otherwise I'm seeing it on Amazon for ~$550. Is there a price drop coming before/during Christmas? I'm traveling to HK during Winter break I'm hoping I can pick up a phone there for cheaper.
ive got the n80ie (bought it in HK new for bout HK$4000 when it first came out) battery life is crap.... a few days on standby, few hours when doing anything that requires power.... pretty slow, due to it being a symbian phone, takes years to start up from off not a lot of ram, so you cant multi-task (open many programs at once) on it too much, maybe 2 apps at a time camera for a 3mp is not the best, flash is a joke, so if your looking to take nice nice pics, dont bother now for the good although limited: decent looking (in black), yes it is fat but i dont mind wi-fi works nicely display is nice, although the n95 screen is huge compared to the n80 lol i ran out of good things to say.... you should go with the n95 (although i havent actually tried it) or Sony Ericsson's EDIT: i forgot the most annoying thing about this phone... it has an annoying flashing blue light that comes on in power saving mode (when the screen goes blank rather than having the time on it.) Its so amazingly bright i have to keep my phone facing down at night or it keeps me up lol.... maybe i have think eyelids.... or you can take it off power saving mode, which i dont do for sake of having a bit more battery lol
