Honestly, I don't understand what's the big deal. Aside from the fact that Google will now have even more information on me (which is scary considering how much they have already). Google+ seems just like facebook to me for the most part, minus apps and the circles function makes it a lot easier to organize friends than on Facebook. The circles aren't that big a deal for me either. Everyone seems to assume Facebook is going to die. What about you guys? Switching teams? I'll just end up wherever everyone else goes. =\
As long as facebook stops making changes to their layouts and making things more complicated (changing back the way we view photos won't hurt either), Google+ isn't going to take over social networking anytime soon. People are just caught up in the fact that Google+ is more simple and fresh.
I think g+ is what facebook was at the beginning, simple, not clustered with junk. Once I get more people on it I think it will get better. PS: If you still need an invite just send your email to my inbox.
wouldnt say takeover, just providing a good competition, which is good for us as the consumer. facebook has really hit google hard.
