I've always wanted to learn how to snowboard or ski, but I've never gotten the opportunity. Does anyone here know how to ski or snowboard? Is it really fun? Also, how long did it take you to learn?
just hop on n go away......try em both to find which ones u like...for me...cause i board..i can snowboard..but i cant rollerblade and i hate sking..
I took lessons and still can't ski. Snowboarding is easy, first you should learn is how to stop. When you think or feel you're about to fall down, stop and try again.
Yea you gotta try out Snowboarding... it's so much better falling in the snow, then in the concrete... lol. And if ya skateboarded before it makes it a lot easier with teh balancing. But like Knoc said once you go board you can't go blading... it's not an option!! don't ever rollerblade... Back to snowboarding, don't bother with skeez it looks so so wack. And I think it might be hard cuz your standing on two long sticks and when ya fall, your legs are like all over the place. Ok so if your still not convinced snowboarding is better, think of this way. You'll be looking sexy ass hell -drool in that beanie and nice jacket with the goggles -cool2. Haulin ass down the hill like the rest of the boys but with that wavy long hair floatin' in the air.
I snowboard and ski. I learned how to ski when I was really young, and started snowboarding about 10 years ago. I have to say that if you want to be mediocre, skiing is easier because you have control of both your legs. When you first start out, snowboarding is hard... because you're on the greens, where there are some flat land, and you have to release the board, walk, or do the bunny hop across. Also, it's not natural to have 1 leg basically permanently attached to your board. I prefer skiing over snowboarding, if it's just downhill/moguls. I prefer snowboarding if I'm going down a halfpipe/terrain park. It's much easier to do tricks on snowboards than on skis. I have so much fun on the slopes. You get crazy adrenaline rushes when you're going down the slopes. I usually go to Vermont to ski... but this last season, I went to Lake Tahoe (in CA) & camelback. Those places were whack, compared to Vermont!
lol your not falling right then... nah but hey ya gotta fall in order to learn. right!? I just hate those jackasses who get hella close to you and just fly by trying to make you fall >_<. They are most likely the muthaf**** in their BMs who don't bother with the turn signal to cut you off the road.
