I am not sure if ya'll noticed something .. practically all business practices make you - as an employee, a patient, and a customer to sign arbitration clause. Otherwise, you can't work or seek services (ex: medical and dental care) there. That's their ways of controlling huge losses in legal suit. Do ya'll think it's fair??

  2. i think it's fair

    looking at the company's perspective:

it protects them. If i'm a business owner, i'd like to protect my own ass

looking at the employee, patient, w/e:

you signed it, you consented to it. if you don't like it then don't sign it lol you're not being forced

i think it's absolutely fair lol

Well .. true if you think it like a business owner but as a consumer and/or employee, you don't have much of a choice. For those who have been wronged due to race, sex, age, etc .. they gotta undergo arbitration and most resolutions have to be hushed behind closed doors so ppl will continue to be victim since things can't be made public.

Considering lots of people have the knowledge of suing and with the legal aids around, companies will need some sort of back up plan to keep their money and back sides safe.

If I was to be an employer I will definitely get an arbitration clause out just to save myself some money, especially being my own boss/sole trader
