You can talk about your views on immigrants if you aren't one, or give some info about the people you know are, based on the following questions:

    ------------------------------------------------------------
    1) Native country & your current country

    2) Reasons deciding to move away to another country

    3) Through what ways did you apply? (family, work, or..illegal, etc.)

    4) How long did you wait for?

    5) Please talk about some difficulties you encountered (social, work, culture, work, school, etc.)

    6) Are you treated differently by others?

    7) Do you still feel insecure around those who are in a different race?

    8) How are you doing so far, like it or regret it? better than before or got worse?

    PLZZZ DON'T FOOL AROUND

personally im not an immigrant but i think my grandad was
well he was in hong kong first but now mum side family (except auntie) lives in uk now
well i think my grandad come over here to work, not sure how long he waited or any thing like that,
but i think it was mainly to have a better lifestyle or environment ... cause i always hear about how grandma would * huy garn teen* and had to steal food just to have some food in their stomach, and how hard life was ...., im not sure if they had any difficulties cause when they came over to UK , loads of people was so it didnt make really a difference i think.... well since i was born in UK i wasnt really treated that much differently , but i did get asked questions from stupid people , like oh are you chinese or japanese (which in my opinion is really stupid they look nothing alike ) and i sometimes get the stupid racist comments in school like ching chong waah or get the fuck out my country (which i was born in lmao) ...:p not sure how my grandparents were treaty , but im sure they wasnt treated that bad cause their quite happy in this country...
and no i dont feel insecure and neitehr does my grandparents (i think) :p

ok now for my views :D

i dont mind immigrants comming to the country i am in atm, cause imo it makes no difference to the country it just raises the population, people go on and on about how they * go fucking steals our jobs* blah blah blah , which in my opinion complete bull shit its just that people in this world needs to blame a race/religion or w/e just because something has happened (refer to hitlers foreign policies) however
i do get really angry at some immigrants like black people for example (not singling them out but its always black people i see do it) like everyday i walk to school , its a busy road then suddenly theres always one stupid person does a U turn ON A BUSY ROAD, or even speed .... and guess what its a black guy ... another point is that they think they can do what they fucking want !!! .. im quite close to a lollipop lady near a primary school i was just talking to her ... then she goes and crosses little children and she bloody nearly got ran over when she was in the middle of the road crossing little children ... the car was like a couple inches away from her ... im tehre thinking WTF IS THAT GUY DOING .. and it was a black guy ..... they have no respect on the road thinking they rule the roads, and that just really pisses me off .... ( i know i sound like i really hate black people now) another point is that they dont even take the decency to learn the language they are in what the fuck is wrong with taht?? if i went to spain to work/live i would learn spanish, i mean come on .. FUCK SAKE !!! .... they also have no repect for people they talk LOAD ON PHONES and they barge into you in the street and dont say sorry WTF IS UP WITH THAT??? .... i was also on the bus going home a black women and a baby in the pram , that black women was talking so much on the phone that she didnt even realize that her pram tipped over on the bus and the baby was crying soo much she didnt even bother picking the pram up , someone sat behind her had to get up and see if the baby was alright ... WTH!!!!!!

any way sorry kay for this maasive RAGE convo :p

    1) China -> Canada
    2) Both parents were deceased, therefore my uncle (in Canada) decided to move us (me & bro) over so that we would be with the rest of the family
    3) We applied through family
    4) We waited for less than 2 years
    5) When I first came over, the Canadian culture seemed a bit strange to me and of course the language matter, because of that, I didn't have any friends for the first 2 months of being here. But when I transferred to another school, found a best friend right away=]. At first, I had a hard time adapting to the Canadian weather, it was so cold, froze my ass off <_<
    6) At some point, I did feel like I was treated differently because of my English and my "Asian" look <- obvious.
    7) I went to an all white Elementary school and 99.9% white High School, so you know, I felt the insecurity during those times. I would get very nervous when I had to talk in front of a group of people. Especially the ones who could speak perfect English. I mean I still do haha, it's sad, it's just insecurity. I don't get intimidated by other races, so I never feel that insecurity when I am around them. I believe in diversity=]

Hope this helps with your paper lol..I wonder if any of that even makes sense O_O
