who thinks federer can two-peat as aussie open champ? well, obviously im hoping so and sharapova for the girls? i hope federer can finally win the french open this yr and finish a grand slam... but first up, the aussie open
my fave female tennis player already lost, so no use to continue watch..... hmm i guess i could watch sharapova's match just for the eye-candy ^^
who's ur favourite female player then? update: nadal loses to gonzalez, and hingis loses to clijsters
Sharapova is my favourite girl tennis player... i liked her when i saw her win wimbledon a few years ago.... and where is sharapova ranked in the world rankings? 1st?
yup she's gonna be first... and i heard federer's gonna be first thru february even if he loses all his games til then just from all the pts racked up from last yr XDXD update: serena williams vs. sharapova in the finals... sounds like a replay of sumthing that wud have happened two yrs back ^^
i am roger federer's biggest fan! so obviously, i'm rooting for him =D damn andy roddick for beating him last time they met..pshh!
and federer rules roddick again... i like watching them more than nadal... prolly cuz roger comes out winning more of these ;P
haha another sharapova and serena williams match.... I want sharapova to win -cool And Federer won Roddick easily... well i saw all this on tv just then lol
sigh... can't believe i cant watch federer try to win this one ^^ but i hope he does, then try for the french open... i want him to get that grand slam! lol update: serena williams is the female champ... guess she's back to form, and we'll hear more of her in upcoming finals... 3 hrs or so til federer and gonzalez go at it!
Gonzalez did alright against federer in the first set... but in the end he lost in straight sets... And how the hell could Sharapova lose by so much man....
i feel sorry for the current mens players, they would be better changing sexes, its works for the williams sisters over the years
^ ooh... there's a dig at the sisters... but i like the europeans nehow, so its all the same to me im sure nadal wouldnt take it so extreme as to change sexes, but then again, i hope federer wins the french open, and nadal's probably going to be at the other side of the net
TADA, 10th grand slam for Federer 7-6 6-4 6-4 AND as an added bonus, won the grand slam without dropping a set And he didn't cry this time when he got the trophy I completely agree. *stares at signature which was originally supposed to be my avatar :(* That makes the 2 of us I'm still recalling his "emotional" win last year at Australian Open. From "sheesh, he's so arrogant and cocky," it suddenly became "omg, he is, like, sooo cute." But even more so, I still recall his 5 set loss to Marat Safin the year prior to that. I was absolutely devastated, so I was rather glad that Andy Roddick took out Marat Safin... a pretty good match actually. Anyways, Federer's and Roddick's 6-4, 6-0, 6-2... I was so disappointed that Roddick didn't put up more of a fight, but Federer, what can I say, he was brilliant BUT, I had hoped to see at least 4 sets, not a bagel This was actually the most intense I've seen so far this year at the Australian open. I half died when Federer went down 2 set points but luckily, he pulled through hm, I thought guys watch Sharapova for the legs, although personally I think Anna Kournikova is 100 times hotter than Sharapova, and definitey not as flat chested. I was originally rooting for Clijsters. Sharapova's shots are great- a lot of pace- but I have yet to see her in her last few matches play anything BUT hard and flat and frankly, it gets boring. The only thing that changed was that her screams went up and down in pitch. Anyway, I'm not so interested in Women's tennis, though I think it's hilarious watching two women play, where one screams like Sharapova and the other grunts like Serena Williams I don't see the hype about Sharapova and how she's the new Anna Kournikova, because frankly, I've always thought Anna was very attractive, but Maria very average and particularly when you compare their figures.
