It has been 7 years since I've left the comfort of Home where I was clocked within a Chinese community, surrounded by friends of common interests, hobbies, and culture. Since then I have learned a very sad fact. I grew up in one of the most diverse city with cultural communities numbering in the hundreds but I was only familiar with ONE. My sad discovery was that this ONE does not represent even 0.1% of the America. Everywhere I've traveled to I have been on the quest to find my place, for a lack of better words, 'my people'. Although I have find some success in larger cities such as San Francisco and Las Vegas my travels did not end there. Where I ended up is a small town in NM... and the quest for the holy Grail begins again. This is a call to others to share their "Away from Home" experience, insights, and possibly find themselves a remedy for homesickness. ________ NastyGirls19
