Yeah it look like those 'mo liew' drama lol, but will watch for Grace, Selena and is that Sharon next to Roger o_0
yea that's Sharon....Selena again another wacky series for Roger I don't have hopes for this. Johnson Lee is a entertaining dude though lol
she was in friendly fire...didn't seem that long ago Sharon is the lead female she is paired with Roger...is this her first lead role!?
Oh yeah she was lol, I was thinking of GH2! ---------------- Just realised that the 4 male protagonists are "group friends" as shown in Office of Practical Pranks.
Lol just cause she not showing skin...she is the lead female.. no need to "sell body" here altho i do miss those legggs:trollface2: first ep was mehh its what i expected
I actually find it quite good, and enjoyed it. Maybe I didn't had any high expectation on this series, its just another typical comedy. Relaxing and easy-go series. Will continue to watch and support for Sharon, Selena, and Grace.
i saw a bit of episode 1 and decided not to continue after a while, but what i noticed was that roger kwok looked (dressed) a lot like the guy from despicable me and also acted like him (he hates everyone).
Roger Kwok really has turned out to be a one dimensional actor, IMHO. After he was given his lucky break to "stardom" by his unforgettable portrayal of the mentally challenged but lovable 'ah Wong' (Square Pegs [2003]), TVB has tried to leverage his popularity into its other entertainment ventures but with mixed results. Kwok has never really attained the same talked about success; even his reprise appearance as Ah Wong during contemporary times (Life Made Simple [2005]), wasn't as well received. In fact, I personally find his acting to be painfully mediocre. His subsequent attempts at more substantively and serious roles are agonizing to watch, to the point of annoyance; at least they are for me. Maybe it's a combination of his features, his "boy that can't grow up" persona which he seems to exude from every pore; I don't know. All I do know is, that I can no longer stand him. As soon as I see that he's in something, that's like an auto kill switch for me.
well said ralphrepo, i only really liked his performance in last one standing (2008), where he played a serious role and acted as a villain. never liked his "funny" roles.
I think Selena role in Awfully Lawful is stealing a lot of attention from Sharon. Along with Grace because I find Sharon lead role to be kinda boring. I think it's time for TVB to give Selena a chance to be the lead actress.
You know, I find it the exact opposite; that is, Kwok (at least for me) is really only useful for the "funny" roles where he plays someone that is good natured but borderline retarded. When he tries to do serious or straight roles, he's a dismal failure. IMHO, that's why he was so successful in the role of Ah Wong, it was a part that played on his strongest asset; his ability to look like an imbecile. When he tried to portray anything else, he just comes off looking like he can't act worth a shit.
EP4 is funny i guess..but still not impressed...gonna give it another week or so. I like the theme song its fun and catchy...makes me happy
Have you seen last one standing? If not, watch it and tell me Roger didn't do a better job portraying a bad guy, much better than his silly Ah Wong retarded role.
