  1. im gona get a digital camera in Jan, but i want to get the best one possible for about £150 (about $300).

The best one ive seen so far is the:

    Kodak Easyshare V1253 Digital Camera.

Do you know of any better ones?

the Canon IXUS 70 is a relatively camera i would think. canon usually make gd cameras. alternatively there is the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W55S both of which are gd brands and should produce brill pics. especially with the carl zeiss lens on the cyber shot, also they are less than £150.

  3. cool ill check them out, but the one i mentioned is 12MP, with a top brand zoom lens of whatever it is :p, i wonder if that can be beaten..

bear in mind that its not all about the megapixels, if u have a decent camera with a decent lens then that makes all the difference. u get cameras with 7 or 8 megapixels that can produce greater quality pictures than 12 megapixels cos the lens is better because it is the lens that gives out the original picture quality.

  5. ^ understood, thanks. ill look into it.

  6. Decided, FujiFilm FinePix S8000fd is the one.

The S8000 isn´t that good, because the colors are really bad and if you want some long exposure pitures its really really bad ...
what photos do u wanna make? Nightshots or daylight ?

oh rele, i figured that since its an slr camera then it should be gd. interesting info there.

  11. Ok i changed my mind, the one im getting is the "Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ18", its better that the 8000 and is basically the best one allround for the price range.

ill be doing mainly daytime stuff though and its not like im gona be blowing images up ad printing stuff at A1 or anything like that,

    yes its way over £150 :- /

they are good but it mainly about blowing up the picture while shooting at maximum zoom etc, basically putting the camera to its limits, which most people wont do for the most part.

  13. ^ LOTS of zoom, now not interested in super slim cameras, i can but a decent one of those for £50 if the need comes.

that looks pretty good for its price actually but its only 12* optical zoom whereas the panasonic still looks better. also i think hes looking for it in pounds and buy.com so it might be hard to get an exchange if its faulty and stuff.

  16. Yeah thats a good one BUT the "Lumix DMC-FZ18" has been reviewed as the best one still. im gona have to research more and compare the Kodak with the Panasonic.

i'm using a sony T70. It is very good and easy to use. It can take photos in 1080, and short movies in vga.
