many people over look him, but Steve Yzerman epitomizes what any franchise could ever want. The longest tenured captian, never played for another franchise, completely changed his game from a offensive force to a great two-way player in order to win, etc.
Wayne Gretzky had better stats then Mario Lemieux .....however Mario was more exciting to watch and I believe Mario Lemieux has more class than Gretzky.
wayne gretzky, no one is or will be better than him, not even crosby who is far away from the top 5 and i'd put lemieux as 2nd best some people say that roy is the best goalie, prolly cuz he was the one active when many of us were growing up and watching him play, but dryden was the best goalie and the best defenseman was bobby orr bourque and coffey were also good

yeah, no doubt, gretz is the best, he made it effortless out there and u no one will reproduce what he did mario is awesome too.. too bad he got hurt
