    do you use a router?
    have any firewall?

    in either case,you have to do "port forwarding" { howto should be in your router's manual, unless it is a really cheap one.}

    for firewall, it is generally easier.

    for the "static ip" part you can just copy the IP your router gave you and reserve that ip on the router for your computer at the sametime so eg. so port 6881 or w.e. will always be open for 192.168.0.101 (example:your pc)

  6. i ust BC and sometimes ill get over 1MB speed, do what i do and use the older versions of BC, the new ones dont work properly for me either.

    im using 0.70

    Like master_g said the newer versions don't seem to work well for many people. I think it's because of all that adware and stuff. If not, I'd suggest you use uTorrent instead.

  8. yeah either use an older version of BitComet or use uTorrent i find utorrent better to use anyways....
