Change everything back to default settings and portforward again, perhaps you would consider using BitComet?

Depending on the numbers of seeds and the uploading speed of the ppl downloading and uploading your download speed can vary from torrent to torrent. For example, there must be lots of seeds when u were downloading at 220kbps and not many seeds when u were getting 20kbps.

Are you using proper port forwarding on your router and in upnp enabled on it? If not turn it on, utorrent should function properly.

  8. assuming that your connection is fine, and considering you got 220kbs before, theres a chance that your azureus already had it port forwarded.

by reinstalling it, the port is changed back to default. so the best way is to go into your router connection and find the same port number and apply it to your azureus.

theres no need to be changing clients, as i have used azureus before and its fine. something with bitcomet.

google port forwarding for some info on how to do it.
