The TVB Anniversary awards is the first of two events for the artiste population to show off their finest and aside from the outcome of the awards, the outfits and accessories on the red carpet are always a key highlight of the show. Double winner Moses Chan (陳豪) was accompanied down the red carpet by Myolie Wu (胡杏兒) and Sheren Tang (鄧萃雯) each offering their take on the black gown. Myolie's stark make-up and short crop stole attention from her dress and HK$2 million jewels, whilst Sheren went for a provocative seethrough dress to match her rather wild hairstyle. The festive season came early for best actress winner Lee Si Kei (李司棋) who wore a startling red dress by Hong Kong designer Dorian Ho, offset by a brilliant 298 carat emerald and diamond necklace worth HK$60 million on its own. Her slightly more junior co-star and favourite TV character award winner Susanna Kwan (關菊英) complemented her Christmas theme with a sparkly white crystal fairy dress and ruby and diamond jewellery worth a total of HK$8 million. Father-to-be Roger Kwok (郭晉安) accompanied Gigi Lai (黎姿) down the red carpet and she looked demure in her cream Versace corset dress, revealing some pushed up cleavage, but hiding her usually perfect waist. She revealed that the dress was priceless because it is the only one in the world, but perhaps this may be the reason it was not a perfect fit for her. However, she was still pleased to be selected to wear such a valuable dress. Bosco Wong (黃宗澤) kept his promise of wearing his lucky colour green, appearing in a velour jacket and a pair of questionable tartan trousers as he escorted Bernice Liu (廖碧兒), who wore an alluring deep-V Gucci dress and jewellery worth HK$2 million. Last year's best actress winner Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼) wore an innocent black and white ribbon-strap Valentino dress, complemented with a set of diamond jewellery worth HK$6 million, radiating an air of youthfulness and purity. However, she repeated her red carpet pose from last year, showing off her jewellery and sparked off comments about her lacking in originality. Three million dollars worth of rubies and diamonds accentuated the plunging neckline of the simple black dress worn by Sonija Kwok (郭羡妮), who was happy to reveal a little cleavage for the occasion. This helped to detract from her hair, which seemed to be a careless afterthought. Dressed in his recent trademark schoolboy gear, Raymond Lam (林峯) was accompanied by Linda Chung (鍾嘉欣) and Fala Chen (陳法拉) on the red carpet, but the two former Miss Chinese International winners were disappointing with their choice of outfits. Linda wore a black halterneck dress that just accentuated her broad sports shoulders and hid her waist entirely, whilst Fala's negligee dress seemed to lack a little fullness to it because she was so thin. Tavia Yeung (楊怡)'s simple brown dress was a little overshadowed by Shirley Yeung (楊思琦)'s sparkling pink five-figure sum dress and diamond jewellery worth a seven-figure sum. Daring to be different, Angela Tong (湯盈盈) opted for a patterned print dress, showing off her bust and back. Kate Tsui (徐子珊)'s Jane Fonda look was certainly eyecatching, but did make you wonder if the decision for the look was a stylist's joke that was taken too seriously. The theme was very much black and white among the men in the line up, with last year's best supporting actor and best actor winners Kenneth Ma (馬國明) and Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎) fully suited up, looking ready for a black tie dinner or a magician's ball and Ron Ng (吳卓羲) going for a smart casual classic black suit and black shirt partnership. Sammul Chan (陳鍵鋒) was a little more daring throwing a grey overcoat onto his 60s mod look, as was Wong He (王喜) with his silver-grey trousers. He caused a little stir during his interview with the press by pulling down his braces and posing for the photographers. A little colour was injected into the line-up by Yoyo Mung (蒙嘉慧) who wore an elegant red strapless number, thoroughly redeeming herself after the faux-pas of last year. However, a little more flesh on her skinny frame would have made her look even more stunning. Keen to avoid any more wardrobe clashes, Nancy Wu (胡定欣) chose a blue dress that was certainly unique, whilst Michelle Yim (米雪)'s green dress completed the trio who seemed to be representing TVB's corporate colours.
