On April 29th, Microsoft is going to release the Black Xbox 360 Elite version in US. This new contraption comes with: - 120 GB harddisk - HDMI connection - HDMI cable - Headset The console will sell for $479 Will you buy this? It still has no HD-DVD or Blu-Ray installed.
hot.. i wanna buy a case, and mod it so i can fit my computer parts in it... that would be pretty cool... an xbox turns into a pc..
This is the upgraded version of the original one, but it still lackes a next-gen media player. I do think that the PS3 priced $599 is cheaper since it has Blu-ray drive already installed.
yeah its kinda a joke.. all it has that is worth getting is the HDMI feature... but for 140 dollars more u can get a PS3 with HDMI, Blue Ray, a 60 gig HDD (which is all you really need), and far more advanced technology overall... Microsoft made a bad move by not integrating the HD-DVD player into this, and they didnt even include integrated Wi-fi... its such a mediocre upgrade :( im disappointed.
haven't really kept up with news but whats the difference between this and the white 1? this 1 looks really cool.
Yeah, it's not worth it if they don't include the HD-DVD player in there. But the black does look a lot cooler!
no contest Not much of a contest, microsoft is just compromising to catch the PS3 technology wise but no mate don't bring it out unless it's a step forward-nono . Unless they scrap the white Xbow 360 and make this the standard model, AND offer an upgrade for the first generation of 360 buyers, then go away microsoft>.< .
lol well i kinda agree lol i think that they are trying to catch up to the ps3 but what are they trying to do with so lil upgrade like HDD and the processor and HDMI output but is it worth it lol. The only thing i like about the elite is the color ^_^ other than that i dont think its much that of an upgrade.
If Microsoft adds an HD DVD player in the bundel, media card reader, WIFI and Bluetooth, the Microsoft game solution will be more expensive than the Sony PS3!!! The XBOX 360 has still one big disadvantage when it comes to HD TV and nextgen sound formats. It doesn't support HDMI 1.3!!! It only has a 1.2 version!!! ERGO in reality the XBOX 360 is much more expensive!!!
$479... I guess it's not all that bad compared to when it first came out... =/ and those freakin' HDMI cables... the see the PS3 ones sell for 50 bucks.. i'm like WTF... -__-'
