After entering the hospital for acute pneumonia on February 11, Bobby Au Yeung (歐陽震華) has remained in the intensive care unit (ICU). His wife, Rosanna Fu (傅潔嫻) , visited Bobby at Ruttonjee Hospital in Wan Chai and revealed that Bobby’s condition has improved.

Greeting the press with a slight smile, Rosanna said that Bobby is not allowed to eat food yet and remains attached to an intravenous drip. He was more alert and able to have a conversation with his visitors, while urging Rosanna not to worry too much about him. The intake of medications made Bobby feel tired though.

Bobby will be transferred from the ICU to a regular hospital room tomorrow if his vital signs show improvement. Since Bobby is currently in the ICU, many friends wished to visit but decided to wait until his condition was more stable.

It has not been decided whether Bobby will be transferring to another hospital yet.

Bobby’s acute pneumonia was caused by swallowing food too quickly, which entered his windpipe and subsequently his lungs. Rumors continued to circulate that he had ingested too much liquor at his friend’s house party Monday night, which made him collapse into unconsciousness. Bobby’s manager, Lydia, once again clarified, “It doesn’t have anything to do with alcohol. He had choked on food and had a bacterial infection leading to acute pneumonia.”

"...He had choked on food and had a bacterial infection leading to acute pneumonia.”

Of course, for anyone who knows anything about pneumonias, the above makes no sense. Aspiration pneumonias are caused by choking on food or liquids; bacterial pneumonias are something else entirely. Which leads me to believe that he has something else that they're not telling the public about.
