Guys, i was on my computer when it was lagging a lot, so I decided to hard boot my cmputer. and when it was booting up, it went blank and froze.

so what is the best way to recover my files from the hard drive?

i would check if you can get into safe mode first and see if your files are ok

if u want to recover only ur important files and throw away ur hard disk, then get urself an enclosure......unless u r using an old Operating System. :p

Boot using a floppy. If you could access the hard disk then save the data you wanted to other floppy. If you can't then it could be your hard disk that caused the problem.

Right now I'm trying to boot into windows using a windows live cd (Bart's BE + UBCD) but so far no success, freezes after a bit.

Im thinking about getting an enclosure to save all my important files. But right now not yet.
Imortant files wont fit in floppy heh

look into Knoppix....if ultimate boot aint working...could be a bad sign..either knoppix or an external enclosure.

Is your OS on the same hard drive as your files you need? if so maybe use a windows cd and try to repair the os then recover your files

    Nirvania I'm BRACK!?

get another hard drive with an operating system, and use that as a

master drive, install the drive thats busted as a slave drive, copy and

paste the files from the bad drive to the good one.
