Boring Canadian Politics

  1. Wtf is Jack Layton smoking?

Anyways, a little background. The federal budget which was released yesterday will not be the cause for the defeat of Harpernism.

According to Ignatieff, the budget offers important actions that will indeed help the Canadian economy. Since Harper has a history of broken promises, mistrust, and loss of confidence, the Liberals will put in place amendments that will force the Consies to generate reports every 2 months, and if it is not up to par with expectations, they will be toppled.

Now Jack Layton goes and says Consies and Libs have a coalition going on, and that Libs are supporting Consies. He says they're playing games, while in fact, he's the one playing games, the game to try and win votes in the next election. Fucking hypocrite.

Let me lay it out. The Libs have to make a decision that is very difficult to make. If Ignatieff decides to reject the budget, a new election is certain. The problem is, Canadians are SICK of elections. Not only that, there would STILL be NO plans to help the economy. So taking that route would not only not change the status of the economy, but put an unnecessary burden on citizens. Turns out to be a no-win situation.

The Libs have decided to go with the budget, because this budget was crafted by the Consies to please the Libs, so they can stay in power. So essentially, this is a budget based on Liberal criteria, NOT Consies criteria. Yes, Harper is still power, but he's the Libs' bitch now. And, we have a budget that would get something done.

IMO, if people just think about who's in power, it gets nothing done. You gotta think about the causes and results.

Layton is portraying Iggy to be in a coalition with the Consies, and that Iggy switched sides. And people may still think that Harper is still in power, but if you think about it, Libs are the ones who are in power, puppeteering their bitch, Harper.

So think twice about voting NDP or Consies.

    wow.. CANADIAN.. nice

yah.. minority government's are a bitch, but I guess they are useful in terms of introducing policies that help the left right and centre

and now that the economy is in the shit, there's less political bs (I hate politicians by the way, liars and can't be trusted just to put it very crudely). I think the infrastructure development should boost us a bit. if it's green even better. I'm hoping green industries will be north america's new 'car industry.' lots of jobs for r&d and just implementation into our infrastructure.
