Bosco Wong Understands Rules of the Game After Six Years It has been six years since Bosco Wong Chung Chak (黃宗澤) entered the entertainment industry. He, who experienced many ups and downs, and faced many rumours and scandals, has learned to become open-minded. In the recent news about rumours with Fala Chen (陳法拉), he views it as a very natural thing to happen with the airing of "Heart of Greed" 《溏心風暴》. It's very much like walking on a suspended metal wire; there is always a risk of severely injuring oneself from falling, where effort will be required to get up again. However, he understands how to comfort himself, "It is better to only have 4 pieces negative news out of 10 pieces of news, than to have all 10 pieces be negative news." In order to avoid past mistakes, he has decided a long time ago to stay away from clubbing and other nightlife activities, which probably made him the fastest siu sang to "wake up." Bosco was one of the four siu sangs that TVB heavily promoted back in 2003. In the end, he came out in front, but this "lead" he held in the race was in the rumours department. After working hard for several years, and recovering from the low times, Bosco decided to quit nightlife activities, and rarely visited clubs anymore. He truly put a lot of effort in acting, and should've redeemed himself a long time ago, but he was linked to Fala again recently. He, who was used to seeing all types of obstacles, said, "It is better to only have 4 pieces negative news out of 10 pieces of news, than to have all 10 pieces be negative news. In regards to this news, I can only say it was a good laugh. I'm already very used to this, so I won't put it to heart." Bosco, who was experieced in this aspect, deeply understood that if you don't keep an open mind, and instead magnify the issue, you will in turn be magnifying your own unhappiness as well. "I've once considered leaving the entertainment circle because of unhappy news, but it is of the past now. I don't take these things too seriously anymore. Or perhaps you can say that I've learned how to solve problems on my own." Bosco's friends in showbiz are no longer the party-ers, but rather, those who could discuss acting and scripts with him, such as Power Chan Kwok Pong (陳國邦), Wayne Lai Yiu Cheung (黎耀祥), and rumoured girlfriend, Myolie Wu Hang Yee (胡杏兒). He expressed that he was a guest at Power's residence earlier, and Power said to him that he was the fastest siu sang to "wake up." He, who used to love partying, admitted that there were two years where he felt very lost and confused. "During the first two years in showbiz, my work wasn't very packed, and I never really thought about what achievements I can accomplish in this industry. Even simply in filming, I thought that if I continue to do it, I will see improvements. However, it turns out that when you do only one thing for too long, you will be drained and sucked dry. So now, I am trying to absorb new knowledge. I'm not simply talking about knowledge you find in books, but also to look out into the world. I will be learning Japanese soon. Although I might not be able to use it in filming series, but I know that as long as there's input, there will definitely be output. To me, my first priority is to make sure I am making improvements in my acting. Earlier, I bumped into Chapman To Man Jaak (杜汶澤) in the studios. We did not know each other at all, but he suddenly stopped me and complimented me, saying that I did a good job in 'Dicey Business' 《賭場風雲》. I was very happy at that time, because someone noticed my acting, and secondly, he actually voiced his compliments to me." Bosco said that rumours with Fala are inevitable, but with regards to his relationship with Myolie, he frankly admitted that they're close friends. The two of them have a way of getting along with each other. "I always argue with her. When we're on the phone, she doesn't mind if I criticize her, and I don't mind if she does the same. Only like this can there be room for improvement and new ideas. Actually, Myolie is a very stubborn person. She doesn't like to take evil roles, but I will tell her, so what if it's an evil role? There is still plenty of room to expand and develop. And like crying scenes for example, I would suggest for her to try not crying a single drop of tear, and still make the audience feel very sad." They are able to share the deepest thoughts, but Bosco never considered developing the relationship further. Besides his complicated relationship with Myolie, Bosco also thought he had once fallen in love with Kate Tsui Tsz Shan (徐子珊) before. "I filmed 'The Price of Greed' 《千方百計》 with Kate for several months. We played a pair of lovers in the series. After working together for several months, I thought I fell in love with her. I tried quieting down and asking myself whether I really liked her. However, after we completed the series, I was immediately required to switch studios to find my second girlfriend Tavia Yeung (楊怡). It was then I realized that it was only a temporary confusion, and was therefore able to pull myself out of character quickly.
