microsft cam 1.1 mp pretty good cam for 50 something. You can get it for less when they have sales promotions.
depending on what operating system you will be using... I had a cheapy taiwan made 1.3megapixel type.. works fine with XP but no drivers for Vista. I bought a Microsoft NX-6000.. expensive but great stuff. Works with Vista, but sometime have issues with MSN, sometimes no pictures.. the quality is the best tho.. 2 megapixel video.
I personally like Logitech... If you're in Canada, you can get a Logitech Ultra Vision for $69 (after PM'ing Futureshop) which is a pretty sweet deal since it normally retails for over $190!
I use logitech too dont' know what model had it for like 2 years and still working great. pic quality is pretty good too.

Sony Motion eyes kick butt, but agreed with the top...the logitech programs ARE SOOO FUNNNNNNNN...u can download all those skins too!

That's the orbit... I recall reading that it is an oversensitive face tracking though... It sometimes likes to track your ceiling light... -^_^
logitech is nice...=) and not that pricey if i remember correctly or you can get a laptop with an inbuilt webcam =)
I'm using a logitech...can't remember he model though...but i can tell you that I've used it for over 4 years and it still works great!
