BRASILIA, July 22 -- Brazilian soccer striker Ronaldo signed a pre-contract for an Iranian movie to star as himself, his manager Fabiano Farah said on Wednesday. The movie will be a drama based on the real history of a Palestinian girl who dreams about meeting Ronaldo before she dies in a refugee camp. Farah told the press that the deal will be closed in September. He explained the movie is about a Palestinian girl, an "unconditional fan" of Ronaldo, who even got the same nickname as her idol. Her dream is to meet the Brazilian "Phenomenon". The film will be produced by Iranian directors Mansur Sohrabpour and Mohammad Latif, as a coordinated project with helps from the Brazil-Iran Chamber of Commerce. The movie will be filmed in Lebanon, probably in the second half of September. The scripts says that the Palestinian girl Alneyrab lives in a refugee camp in Lebanon and she losses one of her legs when accidentally stepped on an anti-personnel mine. Sadly there is no happy ending and the girl dies without making her daydream come true, according to the primary scripts. Sources: Xinhua
Sounds like an interesting movie, but it sure was weird when I first read it's an Iranian movie with Rolando.
