Burglars baffle police

Police in New Zealand are puzzled after burglars broke into a police station and locked themselves into a cell block.

The intruders got into Matamata police station through a window, but as they entered the cell block a self-locking door closed behind them.

Sergeant Graham McGurk said they had to smash their way out by throwing a chair through a plate glass window.

Nothing appeared to have been stolen, he told the New Zealand Herald.

"We don't know the motive. No prisoners were being held at the time," he said.

"No attempt whatsoever has been made to get to firearms or other police equipment.

"There is no uniform missing, no police equipment missing, no damage has been caused to the interior of the station other than where they have broken in and then broken out."

Three police officers were on duty but none was at the station.

^ Probably did it on a dare or something... Or they've secretly installed a bomb in the station

 

but the whole police station only got 3 guys.....kinda ....not secure

 

i agree with hiake, probably a dare or sumthing... or maybe they just wanted to take the piss outta the police

 

but what was the dare to walk in and then walk out of a police station?

well the lock up part was a fault by themselves it did say

they were going to steal some repossesed drugs but got locked in by auto lock door? hoho

 

People are getting more daring now.

 

its not that hard to be daring when no one was IN the police station

 

^ well i doubt i would go in that police station and do what that burglar did.

 

Ok NYC, i dare you to go in your neighborhood station when there's nobody there.

 

i dunno what neighborhood station you guys have but NYC stations are NEVER empty

 

sometimes its a matter of life and death drug lords are more fearful then police Lol not sayin that i know of any
