Just wondering how do you play those files on a normal DVD player. I'm currently using Nero 7. For DAT file, would I have to click 'Make data dvd'? And for the VCD file, I click on 'Make Video CD'

Do I put a blank CD or a DVD and does it make any difference? 'Cos i never tried burning a DAT file or a vcd file.

    - Thanks for help, step by step guide would be helpful plus screenshot. :)

^vcd files and dat files i think are the same, and VCDs use CDs

personally i would just covert the rmvb files to DVD vob files and use nero to burn the "dvd video files"

refer to goo wak jai and my screenies for winAVI settings

ermm... if the file was 'VCD-DAT' i would need to insert blacnk CD then and then follow goo wak jai's screenshot? And if its a blank CD, is it just a normal blank cd - the 700MB one? so i will need 2 then, right? But would it still work if i put a dvd disk or not?

^if its a plain DAT file, i think you should use nero to just burn to VCD, so no need to use winAVI

yeh its just the normal 700mb cds, im not sure nero would accept dvd, to burn a vcd, but then again im not sure
