this is an update from my last thread http://www.dramasian.com/forum/showthread.php/73924-Date-the-girl my 'friend' said that she feels uncomfortable for us to meet for a meal, (with other people present) coz we havent met before she is called Ting she said she doesn't like going to these kinda blind date thingy so from this 'friend' I was given the Ting's mobile number, which was suggested by Ting herself, for me to contact her. Normally I would ask for the number personally after meeting the girl first but never was I in this type of situation Is this common with girls from mainland china? I find it a bit creepy to call someone I have never met and start a conversation with so anyone here have any suggestion on how to do this shit? *** UPDATE*** my friend has arranged a dinner with her cousin and cousin's children and some of my other friends for a pizza hut maybe its one of those chinese things to get people meet up i think she was too shy to sit close to me or she just doesnt want to maybe she doesnt find me much attractive i guess we were sat quite far apart and we didnt actually talk much, conversationally> nothing so things didnt go so well I guess so she added me on her QQ, i have to type english coz I cant read chinese so I sent the two message: '' hey, sorry if we have make you feel any uncomfortable last night. I am sure we can make better arrangement if I know how QQ works.'' I would to take you out to dinner this week. just to let us know each other better, what do you think?'' She replied after 1hr: ' I'm sorry, now have the time! This ~~ Let me think about you?' so what do you guys think is she trying to turn me down or playing hard to get?

Yes, I do concur with you, kinda weird phoning someone you have not met or really talked to, but its not impossible. Its probably because she thinks this is the most comfortable way for her..up to you if you do call or not. Just make sure you are comfortable before you do. If not, think of another way..maybe SMS to start first? Or MSN, or emails if she really doesn't feel comfortable meeting up? I like to meet up in person, simply because I can chat, meet, and gain a better impression..then if interested, keep in touch via calls..
Don't think she's playing hard to get. She's just confused and don't know what to reply, that's all. For all you know, she probably has an account in PA and asking for advice, just like you. That'd be... ironic/cute. I think she's probably waiting for advice from friends and all as to how to reply to your invitation. It's all still good, I believe.

Translating Eng to Chi via Google?? Isn't she fluent in English? If not, then language barrier could be the bigger problem here. Communication is key for any relationship to blossom. All girls will agree that they like boys to talk to them..right girls? Chatting is an important tool..if you are hampered with the language then either you or her needs to make a bigger effort..just see who wants it more to work out to see who makes tbe bigger effort.

inthe end i got turned down to meet her alone this weekend I knew it would happen just cant communicate with her is the problem here
