hey, i was thinking about getting a motorbike, but as i have not passed my test. 17 and limited to a 125cc motorbike. i was wandering what i should get, if i should get one
depends if you really want to ride one. i drove my car for a few years before deciding i wanted a bike, did a 5 day intensive course and passed my restricted license i thought i could commute and have fun on my bike, but found out i just really prefer leisure riding in the nice weather. however maybe its cause i ride a sports and its not so comfy do your cbt, get a cheap 125cc and ride around on it and decide if your cut out for biking, if you are take your test, if you arent get a car. its the only real way to tell.
125 CC? thats not a bike, thats a lawnmower. you're pretty much limited to scooters aren't you? something like a Vespa?
He can ride anything under 125cc (and under 14bhp i think) after doing his CBT course, can be scooter or motorcycle; The legendary Learner Motorcycle Honda CG125 Or he could get a restricted Aprilia RS125 Or the new Yamaha R125 All learner legal
lol, well i have a car already, taking my practical for that next month. but like you said, i thought it'd be fun to get a motorbike.....and i won't have to give lifts to people at skl to the other site (confusing school i know xD) i was thinking of a 2002 Honda NSR125 :S
^do your CBT and see how you like it. NSR125 should be fun and its coming up to summer, but dont go silly thing about 2 strokes, you have to be extra careful with keeping up with the maintenance and making sure its been looked after by the previous owners.
good to hear ur are taking course before hand and start with a decent cc bike first....hone ur skills first before getting some 600cc bikes from honda, ducati, aprilia -bigclap
my recommendation would be go for a 4 stroke. its less problem compare to a 2 stroke. the Aprilia RS125 is a nice bike but its a 2 stroke. more maintenance is needed for 2 strokes bikes. 4 stroke is easier to ride and smoother. For 2 stroke to ride smooth, you would need to keep on giving it gas. the Honda CBR125 is nice bike. but 125 is very slow. i was riding my gf's bike and i was pushing it to top speed and it wasn't even moving.
I do like the look of the 675, but a cbr would be a lot nicer aside from sports, this is also very nice love the sound these make
