I just downloaded the first part of the movie file and want to view it on Media Player Classic but it says "media player classic could not render some of the pins in the graph, you may not have the needed codecs or filters installed on the system"

But i already downloaded the k-lite codec pack.. but what else do i need.
So any advice as to what may be causing this problem will be great. Thanks

Also i have renamed the file to Avi.

the problem is that you dun hav the required codec. u can either download e codec alone or download a codec pack with more codecs.

btw, renaming a file to avi. wont work. u nid to use a converter to realli convert it

My suggestion is to download the "XP Codec Pack instead". its alot better (i tink). Im using it now and it has MPC too. lots of codec inside.

ok 1st things 1st, have you tried VLC ??? and is the file really an avi file (in other words check the extension)

by "first part of the movie file" in your post, i am assuming the movie has several parts so in other words the file is incomplete and you need hjsplit (google to find) to rejoin the files before you can play

so check is the movie file complete, if it has 001 in the file name or as a file extension then its an incomplete file SO YOU NEED TO DOWNLOAD THE REST OF THE FILES and join them with hjsplit BEFORE you can play it

if those don't then there is a possibility that the file is corrupt and it can't be played

The file i downloaded it says "Shopaholics (2006) [XviD].avi.001.jc!" but i've tried to join them with hjsplit but it keeps on saying "file not found"

i think its because before i renamed it to "Shopaholics (2006) [XviD].001.avi
so any advice thanks for your help though..

hi guys, i am kinda having a problem. i download a couple of movies (mostly RM/RMVB) but the problem is some of them cannot be rendered. It says Failed to render or Cannot be rendered.

I downloaded the Community codec pack and i also downloaded VLC but the problem wid the CCP codec pack did nothing at all to fix this and even worst, the VLC doenst show any image and the audio is a bit lagging. btw, the zplayer in the CCP codec pack cannot play it as well (it says corrupt file, or missing filters or clashing filters...)

Can anyone help me? like you can list me your codecs and i can try from there. i can uninstall the old codecs and try a new one i guess.

    thanks for the answer.

Hi huys im kinda in a problem. i download a couple of movies mostly in AVI,RM,RMVB format, but i cannot play it with my Media classic player. I downloaded the codec pack introduced here and even the VLC pack, but it still doesn't work. it still says Failed to Render, or Cannot be Rendered. I even tried the Zoom player, and it says the files are corrupted or filters are missing or either clashing.

Can anyone help me? Perhaps teach me how to add and use the codecs or perhaps list the codecs i should use so maybe i can uninstall and redo everything over again.

Please if anyone can help me it would be excellent.

    Happy Holidays guys.

RM and RMVB can only be played in real media player. Download the codecs above and use Windows Media Player.

you can try to google "K-Lite Codec Pack 2.81 FULL", it contains most of the updated codecs needed to play the avi files, and for the rmvb files, try to google "Real Alternative" software. hope this will help you to solved most of your problems. ;)

I'm sure real alternative is for encoding files to rmvb and rm.

Real Alternative will allow you to play RealMedia files without having to install RealPlayer.

All RealMedia formats (.ra .rm .rmvb .ram .rpm .rv .rp .rt .rnx .smi .smil etc.) are supported, including streaming content and RealMedia content that is embedded in webpages.

read more about it here -> http://www.codecguide.com/about_real.htm ;)
