Hi all, I drive a 94 Nissan Altima(GXE), the seatbelt for the driver and passenger don't work anymore. They don't retract, I think the springloaded retractor thingi majig is broken or something? If I take this to the shop, how much should I expect to pay? I have only gotten my driver's license recently so car stuff is quite new to me. -unsure Thanks.
brown_bear, I'm in PA, US. kdotc, I have no money ^^ Well, I do but nowhere enough for a car, I'm a poor college student who's just trying to get by haha
trust me its not worth fixing a 13 yr old car...do u really need the car? is it a need? if not then take public transportatoin lol
It use to take me around 45 minutes(if I'm lucky) to get to campus with public transportation but it only takes me 10 minutes now. 10 minutes to get to class = more nappy time : ) Plus the car still drive good, so I have no reason to buy a new one. You're probably loaded with the greens or something haha
not even lol...y don't u just go to skool with friends...carpool...my skoool parking is expensive..tehy don't got their lot so gota use the expensive parkin lots downtown...that y driving is not worth it for me
O, parking in the city is always hard haha But my campus is out in the surburb, (I don't live in the surburb haha) we're like a different school from the university downtown. Parking permit is only $5 a semester, a LOT cheaper than at main campus. Plus I'm one of the few that commute, most of them lives in the apartments across from the school. So ye, be great if I could get the seatbelts fixed, I just hope it won't burn my wallet ^^
you can actually bring it to an auto zone and ask for estimate price. my semester parking pass cost $325 USD... or $6 for 1 time..
kdotc, it's too much hassle with a rope haha aznmask, ye, I'll try to go to the auto zone place if I have time today kongee, you mean like go to the junk yard and yank open a seatbelt from a car? ^^ I have no idea how to do that, I wonder if the people that sells junk parts know how to do it, I'll have to check it out more. Thanks for all the replies so far : )
