OEM CRX engine options are a 1.5 liter 4 cylinder with 62 hp, a 1.5 liter 4 cylinder with 92 hp or a 1.6 liter 4 cylinder with 108 hp.

Common engine swaps to go into the CRX are b16a, which is the JDM 1.6L DOHC VTEC engine, which is in the Civic Si-Rs & gets you about 145hp to the wheel, b16b, which is the JDM DOHC VTEC engine, which is the Civic type R engine & gets you about 170hp to the wheel (185 to the engine). If you swap in the b16 motor, the crx can run about mid 14 quarter mile. 5 grand should get you the engine swap.

Some others are b18a, which is the USDM 1.8L DOHC non-VTEC motor for integra LS, the b18c, which is the JDM 1.8L DOHC VTEC for integra SiR.

I used to have an integra ls with type r motor swap, which is the b18c6, jdm type r integra motor. I sold the car about a year ago. It's hard to find a good motor... I don't know about these days though. CRX with engine swaps are a dime a dozen. My friend picked one up not too long ago for just 3 grand with a b16 motor swap.

Right now, I have an audi a4. I'm thinking about chipping it & changing the exhaust. Maybe I'll upgrade the turbo. It's still under warranty though, so I'm not gonna do anything anytime soon.

I currently own a VW GTI (1.8T) *see avatar* and a Toyota FX16 GTS (which has the 4AGE engine in it), but I don't consider them to be sports car. More like performance oriented econoboxes, haha. I love my cars tho, and that's what matters ;)

I always have plans for my cars, but no need to write a book as a post reply ;p

As for motors, they are "B" series motors, no BA series, so its' actually a B16 and B18, etc. B16A is the popular Civic SI motor that puts out 160-170hp. B18 has several variants, the B18A actually is a non-vtec motor while the B18C5 or B18C1 (for example) are.

Personally, I'd avoid a CRX as they are overhyped and all over the road. The AE86 Sprinter/Trueno are overhyped as well, they are also very difficult to drive and requires numerous mods to be a contender.

    i have a pulsar =D

essentially stock with minor mods (nothing that gives performance... just decreases performance =/ )
has a k&n pod, fake eyelids, crappy 15" rims (soon to go 17, assuming i change insurance... current ones don't let anything wider than 6.5"), 100w headlights and fog lights, blue parkers, blue interior neons

    only has abt < 90kw =(
