Carol Cheng (DoDo jei) announced yesterday that she broke up with David Lui after 16 years. She said that they will remain friends after the break-up. She replied to reporters in text message, "Thanks! I'm Okay!". Carol Cheng was interviewed by a magazine and she publicly announced the break-up with David Lui. Although appeared in a happy mood during a show, she seemed had lost some weight. She replied that she did it on purpose. She said that she didn't quarrel with David Lui; they sat down and made this decision thoughtfully. "I hope to have my own personal space. He wanted to move out too. We both agreed to this break-up." DoDo said, she had thought of the break-up last year. She's almost 50 and wants to do something on her own. David Lui has his own thoughts and they discussed this issue many times. During the mid-October, David Lui officially moved out from DoDo's house and started his single life. Dodo said this is not an easy decision. She replied that this break-up didn't involve third parties or money. One of the reasons for the break-up was the different life styles. She woke up early but he liked night life. She wants to live on her own. David Lui said, that they are still good friends. He said that he had thought of marrying Carol last year but he didn't purpose, knowing she didn't like marriage. It seems like they just wanted different things.. I do think that the break-up is probably more because of Carol though. Lui Fong wanted to get married but Carol doesn't believe in marriage.. what can you do?
well, why get married if you're not compatible..plus we all know how much david liked to eat, and she's sort of on the skinny side, so that is really hard...plus it's good time to figure out what it is that you want...i thought they were a great couple and lasted so long too.....I can't believe it.....
well, who wants a loser like david lui .. i think that's the attitude now that carol cheng had solidified her career at tvb. i can't believe that it will take 16 years to figure out that they're not compatible for one another. it has to be something else.
