To commemorate her 15th year in the entertainment industry, Cecilia Chung (張栢芝) will have an elaborate birthday bash in Guangzhou with her avid fans. She also promised that she will bring a special guest to her party, leading many to speculate that it will be her new boyfriend. For years, Cecilia has never made a big commotion out of her birthday, preferring to celebrate it with her close friends and family. However, for her 33rd birthday this year, Cecilia will have a fanciful birthday party on May 19. To facilitate the easy attendance of her mainland Chinese fans, the party will take place in Guangzhou instead of Hong Kong. Since her divorce from Nicholas Tse (謝霆鋒) in August 2011, Cecilia has been focusing on her career and taking care of her two sons, Lucas and Quintus. Though she admitted that she has pursuers and hopes of remarrying again, Cecilia has yet to find a suitable partner. Recently, Cecilia was photographed out and about with her eldest son, Lucas, and a hunky man. Due to the close relationship between the boy and the man, the media speculated that it must be her new boyfriend. However, Cecilia denied it. Since she promises there will be a special guest at the party, many guessed it could be Cecilia’s way of acknowledging her boyfriend finally. When reporters asked Cecilia’s manager, Miss Zhou, about the party and mysterious guest, she replied secretively, “Cecilia’s birthday will be a huge affair this year. We have also taken preventive measures against the H7N9 virus, so don’t worry. Regarding the identity of the special guest, you will find out on that day!” Doing it for Charity Workwise, Cecilia has been busy making appearances in variety shows such as Stars in Danger <星跳水立方> and Dance My Life <舞出我人生>. In the latter program, Cecilia will have to take part in a dance competition. Though she is anxious about dancing on the show, her dance choreographer, Chris, commended Cecilia for having a good memory, determination, and high expectations of herself. It was only Cecilia’s dancing inexperience that gave her lack of confidence. As to reports that Cecilia only took on variety shows because of her failure on the big screen, Chris came to her defense, claiming that Cecilia appears in the show for charity.
