Celebrity Weddings: Koni Lui and Dickson Wong

After dating for 10 years, Miss Hong Kong 2006 second runner-up, Koni Lui (呂慧儀) and Mr. Hong Kong 2008 participant, Dickson Wong (黃文迪) finally tied the knot, holding their 28-table wedding banquet last night. Taking into account Koni’s love for nature, Dickson decorated the venue hall to resemble a forest. To reserve a romantic feel, Koni put away her normal sexiness. The newlyweds kissed several times due to popular demand and demonstrated their sweet side before the guests.

The Groom Dons a Tigger Suit

During the morning games segment at the bride’s house, Koni was pleasantly surprised when Dickson dressed up as her favorite character, Tigger, to make her laugh. Koni said, “Normally, Dickson is very chok. Today he put aside his handsome looks and did not mind looking foolish!”

Dickson revealed that he had to bite on orange peel, sing songs, dance, and publicly declare his love in the morning bridal games. He distributed a five-figure sum in lucky packets to the bridesmaids before successfully barging into the bride’s house. Later in the afternoon, Koni playfully asked Dickson to sing a song before the reporters, in which the song contained numerous references to the “love” word, while the bride laughed heartily.

Million Dollar Jewelry

At approximately 4 PM, the newlyweds cut the cake and popped the champagne. Koni wore a low-cut blush pink bridal gown, obviously more conservative than her usual attire. Koni said that she prepared four gowns and four sets of jewelry for a total seven figure sum. However, the rings that she wore yesterday were not her actual wedding rings.

When teased that she was not dressed sexily, Koni smiled, “Dressing too sexily will lose the romantic feeling!” Dickson noted that it was not his decision and was Koni’s selection. The newlyweds compiled with the media’s request and kissed. Koni laughed and said that her husband’s corsage was poking at her chest and had to realign their poses. Koni frankly said that she was afraid that her wedding dress will not fit her. Asked if she were pregnant, “long-legged crab” Koni said, “No, not yet. Tonight, there is no crab salad; there was no time to make it!”

Honeymoon in February

Asked whether the newlyweds will be living at Koni’s million-dollar house, Koni said, “No, the house belongs to my family! After getting married, the house is no longer mine; we will live in a new house that Dickson bought.” The newlyweds will take their honeymoon in February, although the destination will be kept confidential. Despite their wedding celebration yesterday, Koni and Dickson did not obtain their marriage registration yet. The couple will get their marriage registration during their honeymoon instead.

The Guests

When the bridal bouquet was tossed, bridesmaid, Elaine Yiu (姚子羚), caught it. The other bridesmaids, Kelly Fu (傅嘉莉) and Qinnie Chan (陳君宜) intentionally let Elaine catch the bouquet. Asked whether she was eager to get married, Elaine denied the allegation and revealed that she was not dating anyone. However, Koni arranged for several handsome models, ranging from young and mature men, to sit at her table.

The wedding guests included Stephen Chan (陳志雲), Fala Chen (陳法拉), Sharon Chan (陳敏之), Roger Kwok (郭晉安) and Cindy Au (歐倩怡), Felix Wong (黃日華), Myolie Wu (胡杏兒), JJ Jia (賈曉晨), Jacquelin Chong (莊思敏), Suki Chui (徐淑敏) and her husband, Wong Ho (黃浩). Koni also invited once-rumored flame, Eric Tsang (曾志偉), however he could not attend the wedding due to conflict in work schedule.
