this is a cool tool that changes you user interface into vista. http://www.jcxp.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=7006 I dont know if it is reversable, I used it and it shows not bugs yet. It changes everything from icons to boot screens, enjoy!
I use to use stylexp to change the look of xp, but I find it usually ends up messing with your system, im happy with xp
I did that change the boot logo thing and I must have done it wrong and I ended up having to reformat. I never touch those programs again...
see..i never go that far with an app like that..reformat...dang.hahah..thas rough just cause of style xp...
I dont use style xp, I dont like the extra software. I modded the uxtheme.DLL file so that you can change the theme just by going to display properties
It is NOT reversible!!!! I downloaded one similar to this, complete with self-installing .exe, and when I tried to go back to regular Windows XP UI (because there were some bugs and problems with the Vista UI), it ENTIRELY SCREWED UP MY COMPUTER!!! Some of the system files that were utilized by the Vista UI became corrupted, my drivers for numerous hardwares were corrupted as well, and my computer kept crashing and not booting up properly! So, I highly suggest not to download it..... unless you're positive it works! Better yet, just wait for the actual release of Vista!
let em try it..then we laugh while it messes their system...point it..be watchful of apps like these...the make serious changes and can corrupt ur registry,....
I clearly stated its not reverseable..worked fine for me...I followed the direction. and your suppose to create a restore point just in case
those programs are "RAM" killer, like those transparcy and all those little fancy gadget takes up a hell lot of ur RAM. you might as well download window visita off the microsoft website, which is free anywaz
yeh but then if you install vista beta you get reduced compatibility with stuff. This just changes the UI, so underneath its all xp. Yeh i cant believe the specs u need to run vista and you dont get some of the kool features in the basic version, which defeats the point of vista.
