Charice captures Italians' hearts anew Wednesday April 7, 2009 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGBW9TENgLE International young diva Charice again wowed an audience in Italy as she performed at the European country’s popular musical variety show "Ti lascio una canzone (I'm Leaving a Song for You).” The show, which is also a talent competition, was aired on Rai Uno, Italy's local network. Charice belted out her favorite songs including "I Will Always Love You," "Listen," and "I Have Nothing." She also did a duet with one of the show’s contestants, Gianluca Ginoble. The Italian audience gave the pint-sized Filipino singer a standing ovation after her rendition of "The Prayer." "Actually I'm very happy because Italy and the Philippines both love music," Charice said. The singer also dedicated her success to her mother. "I can say that without her I can't do anything. She's always been with me everywhere, (Ma) I love you," she said. As for her advice to aspiring singers, Charice, whose career began after joining a talent show on ABS-CBN, said: "My mom taught me how to sing. I just want to say to all the kids to continue pursuing their dreams. That’s what I did. Continue soaring high because we love music.” This is not the first time that Charice performed before an Italian audience. In July of last year, Charice sang a duet with world-renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli at the Teatro del Silenzio in Italy. Charice also sang “The Prayer” with Bocelli. She is totally amazing. I can't believe I only found out who she was last night on Youtube (when searching for G.E.M. and someone mentioned her name n the comments section)... I ended up watching videos till 3am and also today for another 4hrs non-stop. I totally love her -blush2-blush2 . Can't wait till her album is out!!! She is definitely going to sucessed in my point of view and others too especially will all the support she has already from other" heavyweight" artists.
