Chilam Cheung will be releasing an album in October of this year. Yesterday he was at CRHK for a radio interview and expressed that this time he'll have a duet with Myolie Wu. He will be responsible for writing the lyrics to the Mandarin version of the song. He laughed and said that recently his brain is not functioning, therefore it's not done yet. Asked about his comeback into the music industry, will he have less time to spend with his son Morton? He smiled and said that earlier he already spent a period of time with his son, Morton even heard his songs too and could recognize Chilam's vocals. He laughed: "My son is my youngest fan of all time!" Chilam quit smoking two months ago, he smiled and said that his ability to quit is weak, he had to depend on medication. He frankly said that he had once tried many ways to quit smoking, but was not successful in the end since his smoking addition is quite deep. He felt that after he quit smoking, the feeling is good, less allergies on the nose. Currently, he still has a crave to pick up a cigarette, but if he holds it a little longer, then it will be fine. Asked if his son would refuse him because of his cigarette smoke smell? Chilam laughed: "Whatever smell I have, he'll still like me. Even if I didn't shower for 10 days, he'll still come and hug me." As for the idea of his album's image? He expressed that he'll think about it again in September. Asked if he would be revealing his muscles and body? He laughed: "Yeah! But will have to see how my company arranges it and if its necessary to reveal anything." Asked if he would compose a song for his son? He expressed that many people are doing that, he usually doesn't like to compose songs for a specific purpose. Source: Takungpao Translated by: aZnangel @ http://******************/forums/
although i do not listen to his songs often, i am glad there is another person in the world quitting smoking, and high profile to boot! Smoking isn't exactly that "in" anymore... there are a lot more health concerns and regulations to restrict smokers. I hope his son grows up to be a good and active kid. I've once heard (though i am not 100% sure) that smoking while the child is in fetal development can affect how the brain develops.
