Chin Ka Lok (錢嘉樂) and Angela Tong’s (湯盈盈) beloved daughter, Alyssa Chin, was born on March 10, 2013. To celebrate Alyssa’s 100-day mark, the couple’s friends threw a surprise party for the Chins earlier in June. Alyssa’s elaborate 3D cake also attracted many compliments. Designed by good friend Timmy Hung (洪天明), the cake featured the display of edible monkeys dressed up as Thor, Captain America, the Hulk, and Iron Man, the characters from Marvel’s comic The Avengers. The cake shop, located in a small bakery in Fanling, New Territories, is known for producing 3D cakes for many celebrities. Joey Yung (容祖兒) had her birthday cake decorated with edible roses, bay leaves, and crystal balls, while Louis Koo (古天樂) had a three-layered Star Wars-themed birthday cake. The cake shop is also praised for their production of edible faux foods. One displayed cake was designed to look like a barbecue, and another was designed to look like a large Chinese meal.
