Its quite stupid that many countries criticise it, but then if we didn't do it and built lots more coal power stations or oil ones then they would criticise that. But yes its for the greater good. China are now planning to build another super structure, its gonna be like a humongous canal bringing water to North China from South China and will stretch some 900miles (i think) edit: OK the link should work now.
It is always the developed countries that would criticized and try to stop the rest of the world from improving their infrastructure and what not. But they never looked at themselves and said oops......we already have that long time ago.-innocent
Let's hope the Dam works long enough before WWIII happen and blow up the dam. Other than that, Go China Also, I wonder how many people die building that dam >.<
Isnt that the truth, the developed countries criticise China for taking too many resources and driving prices up, so what now, is china not allowed to develope but to leave the resources so the developed countries can continue to get richer <_<
i was sad to see the gorges that were to be covered, but when i talked to the people there they got bigger apartment and new cities built and thought it was good and gave them a better life. I will go back once it is all flled and think back upon how it looked before
