I found this on Youtube and thought it may be worthy of interest and discussion: The 5th video is with Mandarin Audio only. The 6th video raises some very serious questions based on physics and other evidence. Opinions? Article cited in one of the videos: http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2008/09/25/asia/AS-China-Space-Oops.php Another source about the same premature news article: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/asia/article4826302.ece Here are examples of US space walks, notice the difference in the movements of light and shadow, and the movement of the clouds and earth below : From the videos, it appears that the Chinese footage lacks orbital movement as indicated by the shifting of high contrast and super overly bright areas hit by raw sunlight, that which is clearly seen with the US shuttle and other archive footage. Note: The Asia Brief broadcasts seem to be associated with the Epoch Times as its only source. The Epoch Times is a well known critic of just about everything related to China and is acknowledged to be fervently anti-PRC government.
another fake moon photos, NOT! as some suggested, the moon probe was a fake too, hah! on Wednesday, China announced the photos of the entire moon surface, how does a fake probe able to that? news LINK: http://www.moondaily.com/reports/China_Reveals_Its_First_Full_Map_Of_Moon_Surface_999.html people can say all they wanted. the space walk aint fake, man.
Bear in mind that the source of your article is from China's government news agency. While I do believe that the PRC's moon probe is genuine (and the first displayed photo was coincidentally of a well known spot on the moon), there are a lot of inconsistencies with the space walk video that haven't yet been fully explained. I'm not totally convinced.
I don't think they faked the space walk b/c the government would be very embarrased. And, it's all about face in China. Ppl have been saying for years that the Apollo landing on the moon has been faked, ppl can say whatever they want.
But with the Apollo moon missions, the equipment that they positioned on the moon is still being used today. That is physical evidence that they were there. The issues that have been raised by the conspiracy theorists have all been fully addressed and refuted. http://eclipse.gsfc.nasa.gov/SEhelp/ApolloLaser.html The PRC space walk hasn't yet had all of its questions answered. I'm reserving my opinion until more comes in. The biggest red flag (no pun intended) that I have so far is the fact that the Chinese press had reported on it when it hadn't yet taken place. In other words, the premature report can only be kindly referred to as a fabrication. Unkindly, we would call it an outright lie. That alone would cause one to question the credibility of just about everything that they would subsequently have to say on the subject. So, look at and review the "evidence" yourself is what I'm advocating. Governments will almost always lie to their people; that is why in the US, people are always clamoring for more transparency and open processes. It's just a matter of who is willing to take whatever government say at face value. Given the fact that China has a well worn track record for half truths, mistruths, and just bald faced lies, I'm an eternal skeptic when it comes to any of their pronouncements. <_< Oh, and BTW, regardless of how safe they say it is, I wouldn't drink the milk.
I never knew China launched anything into space. When I saw the video, my first thought was, "wow. It's so clear, it looks like a movie." The slip ups are really making China seem to be a nation of conspiracy, ingenuity, and hoaxes. Then again, the United States' Apollo space walk was also said to be fake. Despite that, the US (even if they weren't the first to get to space) is capable of doing it now. China should not rush their space explorations. If those videos were "fake" don't say it is real. I would find greater entertainment from them had I known them to be practice explorations.
