Instead of helping clean it's country from pollution they're doing this.

China is to build its first naval base in Djibouti, the Djiboutian foreign minister said Friday, in the latest sign of China's growing international security presence.

Djibouti is seen as a key strategic location in the Horn of Africa, with United States, France and Japan already having facilities in the country.

"The negotiations have come to an end and the naval base will be built in Djibouti," Mahamoud Ali Youssouf told AFP on the sidelines of a summit of African leaders in Johannesburg.

"The goal of the base is to fight against pirates... and most of all to secure the Chinese ships using this very important strait that is important to all the countries in the world."

"For Djibouti, it's an additional strategic ally."

A former French colony, Djibouti guards the entrance to the Red Sea and, ultimately, the Suez Canal, and has been used by international navies as a hub in the fight against piracy from neighbouring Somalia.

"For a few years with the instability in Somalia, this region has become a refuge for pirates and the terrorist movements," Youssouf said.

In May, Djibouti's President Ismail Omar Guelleh told AFP that talks over the military base were underway.

Guelleh met with Chinese President Xi Jinping at the summit in Johannesburg, where China announced $60 billion of assistance and loans for Africa.

Cleaning the air is for its citizens; the Chinese citizens will live there irregardless ... but for power hungry leaders,
strategically placing and expanding their military is not an un-wise thing for a rising power.

In the New World Order power play, China is probably eye-ing power expansion of all Asia. That explains the expansion and claiming SE Asia as part of China.
Americas are probably going to be controlled by US of A.
EU will most likely try to control Europe. Possibly have to fight Russia for it.

The last continent - Africa. With placement of military in Africa, expansion of power to Africa?

So the power hungry mainlanders want to corrupt the rest of Asia their way and burn all the resources and pollute it? Very sad

That is life, be conquer or be conquered. There is no other choice, you may want peace but others do not.

Sort of. I figured humans would have gotten better and overcome such destruction.

Humans are not peaceful beings...We consume till we destroy ourselves.

The president of China is said they will invest $60 Billion into Africa. China already have a lot of investments in Africa, they are going to take as much as they can and save whatever they have left in China and hike up certain natural resources. China is playing this game for the long run, not some short term one. USA and Russia owe China a lot of money...:cry2:

Yup...but is China's $ "real" that's the real question to be asking, could be all inflated and printing it with no accounting accountability whatsoever.
